Grouse Park sunsets

It's getting to that time of year when the days get a little longer and us younguns have time to get up the mountain in time for the setting of the sun. This also means that it is the time of year when we get the best photos. So since grouse still has a few centimeters of snow I decided to head up the hill for a quick shoot. I'm pretty stoked on this batch of shots hope you are too!

some photoshop edits

So since I almost died tonight at the alexisonfire concert and watched a girl get her leg broken by the crowd, without even being able to see them play, I thought I would blog to get my mind off it before I sleep. I got photoshop! tell me what you think of the shots.

In the studio doing some portraits of Crossing Lions

So it's taken me a little too long to get these pictures up but i figure better late than never so here comes a well overdue blog post. I've been super busy with shooting and blogging for Grousepark.com and taking pictures for a band called Crossing Lions. I can't say enough good things about these guys. Crossing Lions are a new band from north van who have a sort of indie pop rock style and play some really catchy tunes. That was a bad description but long story short they're rad! They consist of Pe Tolfo on guitar and vocals, Adam Vajda on guitar, Marek Olsen on base and James Higgins on drums. All of their songs are surprisingly professional and technical for a small time local band just playing small shows around town. I met up with them about a week ago and did a quick photo shoot, we got some pretty good shots out of it and they seem happy so I'm happy. They are currently in the studio laying down a demo I think...? don't take my word for it but no matter what they're working hard to give you some damn good music so keep checking in to they're facebook page to find out the latest. They are going to be playing a Haiti Benefit Concert at the AYC on friday Feb. 12th! We'll see you all there with a minimum donation of 5$! Now here's some shots!
